Environmental approach

Working with recycled materials
-
-
Classic tiles are equipped with BACKING SYSTEM, a backing made from 100% recycled vinyl.
-
ACOUSTIC tiles are equipped with a recycled polyamide fibre underlay, manufactured by us on our production site from cutting waste.
-
In 2021, we developed TEX, a 100% recycled fibre backing like an alternative for all of our collections.
-
We use ECONYL regenerated polyamide yarn to produce some of our collections.
-
Our products are packaged in recycled cardboard boxes.
-
Developing clean and sparing technologies
-
-
We avoid the use of materials and additives which are hazardous to health and the environment, including volatile organic compounds and heavy metals.
-
Using local resources
-
-
Our raw material suppliers are located within a radius of less than 300 km around our production site (apart from yarns, coming from Italy)
-
Promoting a longer product life
-
- Our products come with a 5-year warranty for France and a 10 years warranty for export.
Designing easily recyclable products
-
-
We integrate reusing and recycling objectives from the design stage. The composition of our tiles is transparent, allowing easy traceability assessment.
-
Evaluating products by qualified bodies
-
- TecSOM fabric has a double AFAQ certification: ISO 9001 et ISO 14001
- Our tiles are certified by LEED – BREEAM - EPD - A+ - M1 – HQE - CE
- TecSOM fabric has a double AFAQ certification: ISO 9001 et ISO 14001
Managing manufacturing wastes

Since 2019, a waste management policy has been implemented at TecSOM production site
-
-
-
Uncoated needle punched carpet production waste is frayed and reused into acoustic underlay or worksite protective layer manufacturing.
-
-
-
-
-
Unused yarns are returned to our supplier who regenerates them.
-
-
-
Uncoated tufted layer waste is baled and returned for recycling.
-
-
-
Cardboard reel cones and cardboard waste are baled and send to paper mill for recycling.
-
-
-
Plastic packaging waste is baled and send for recycling.
-
-
-
Paper is sorted and then recycled by the recycler.
-
-
-
Vinyl backing cutting falls are regenerated by Tarkett.
-
-
-
Tiles from the end of production process, insufficient to fill a box, are set aside for sampling.
-
-
-
Rinsing water is recovered and reused.
-
-
-
Metals from the equipment (used parts, obsolete wiring) are sorted and then upgraded.
-
-
In 2021, we have divided by 3 the amount of Ordinary Industrial Waste (OIW) to be landfilled and multiplied by 5 reused wastes weight, compared to the previous year. |
