Carpet is available in tiles or rolls and each have their advantages. A wise choice takes into account the functionality and aesthetic appeal you want to give to your interior.
Tile carpeting
The standard carpet tile size is 50 x 50 cm. Specific formats are available on request:
- 60 x 60 cm
- 67.5 x 67.5 cm
- 90 x 90 cm
- 100 x 100 cm
- 100 x 200 cm
Customized designs can be printed on 50 x 50 cm or 100 x 100 cm tiles for large patterns.
Carpets are made from polyamide, polypropylene, wool or mineral fibers. Their appearance, technical characteristics and durability are highly dependent on the raw material used. To date, the most traffic- and fire-resistant fiber (among others) is polyamide (PA). At TecSOM, all tuft collections are manufactured with polyamide yarn.
For ease of installation and durability, we recommend using removable heavy carpet tiles (DPA). To satisfy this criterion, the product must weigh more than 3500 g/m². The modular carpet also allows you to create personal and original decorations by playing with textures, colors and tile direction (checkerboard, random...). Thus, creating unique interiors.
Daily carpet tile maintenance is the same as for standard carpets. These advantages combined with good durability, make carpet tiles a popular choice for office spaces, even those with heavy traffic.
Another significant advantage is that damaged or stained tiles are easily replaced with new ones.
Roll carpeting
TecSOM offers roll carpet, also known as broadloom carpet, with a width of 200 cm. The standard size of a carpet length is 40 ml or 80 m², but the size can be adjusted on request. Indeed, we have the possibility to cut the rolls lengthwise to facilitate your installation.
Installation consists of applying glue to the floors, unrolling carpet pieces and cutting the product. Once fully glued down, the product is permanently attached to the ground and can withstand traffic for years to come.
In tiles and rolls, our products are antistatic, designed for heavy traffic and specific antibacterial, antifungal, anti-mite and antimicrobial treatments.
