Variations on a main theme: E'Square

The fascinating thing about the world of textile design is the tremendous creative potential it offers. The same pattern can give rise to an infinity of variants. With regard to carpeting, variations around a given theme may be applied to shape, color, texture but also carpet structural construction.

When you decide to create variations on an existing loose-lay carpet collection, you need both audacity and high technological skills, the aim being to surprise while respecting the essence of the original drawing and preserving the specific technical characteristics of the product.

At Tecsom the Design team works hand in hand with the R&D team. One anticipates the trends of tomorrow and specialises in our clients customized orders, the other ensures the technical feasibility of projects, which sometimes requires skilful calculations. Finally, it is thanks to the expertise of the production technicians that new developments arise.

Let's talk about E'Square collection, a true example of a fruitful teamwork. This high-end multi-loop pile tuft is part of Evolution range and was launched in a series of 6 variations of subtle monochrome tones, all quite classic.

Esquare
Last year the range palette was reviewed and among the nine current references, only one was in the previous collection. The motif whose geometry is sometimes highlighted in black is clearly more shaded, which gives it a lot of character. Three references have a bright coloured yarn boldly inserted into their composition structure. This contrasting variation completely transforms the pattern and gives it a dynamic full-modern style (From left to right, blue, yellow, orange).

SQUARE TRIADE
Recently, following a customer’s request, our teams developed two creative variants fully in line with the trend of contemporary decoration. On the left, the product is tufted with a single color yarn and with various heights loops reflecting the structure of the motif outlines.  On the right, we have kept the monochrome coloristic basis but changed the multi-loop pile tufting into a cut pile one. The result is wonderful!
