India Mahdavi is a French architect, a designer and a graphic designer born in 1962. She made her debuts with the decorator Christian Liaigre whose artistic director she becomes from 1990 till 1997. In 1999, she opens her own design studio, in the las Cases street in Paris and launches in 2003 its first furniture collection. In 2012, she opens a shop "Petits Objets". Her work distinguishes itself by its cosmopolitan aspect and the diversity of the projects: Hotel one Rivington in New York, the Codesa DF hotel in Mexico (Mexico City), the Townhouse hotel in Miami, the Dragon-I restaurant in Hong-Kong, the lounge bar APT in New York, Givenchy shops in Paris, as well as houses deprived in the Egyptian desert, in Sydney, London or New York. Elected "designer of the year" in the Salon Maison et Objet in 2014, India Mahdavi was appointed Officer of Arts and Letters by the French Culture MInistry in 2015 was named.
