Elisabeth Garouste is a French interior designer born in 1946 and Mattia Bonetti is a Swiss designer and photographer born in 1952. They are among the emblematic designers of the decorative arts universe of the 1980s. Their conception of the design is resolutely surrealist, baroque and theatrical, integrating a diversity of matters. We owe them among others works as the Barbaric chair in 1981, the table Rock in 1983, creations for the Cristalleries Daum and the Faïencerie of Gien, the decoration of Christian Lacroix high fashion dressmaking salons, the street furniture and the decoration of the streetcar of Montpellier, designs of packaging edited by Nina Ricci. They are elected "Creative of the year" during the Furniture Fair of Paris in 1991. They displayed in many prestigious places as the Centre Pompidou in 1997, the Guggenheim museum of New York in 1998 and the Museum of Contemporary Arts of the Grand-Hornu in Belgium. Elisabeth received the Trophy of the golden Women in 1993.
